FAQs

You should reach out to book your session as soon as you can to ensure availability. Your due date will be your session date just as a placeholder. The initial booking is a great time to discuss preferences for things like colors and props! Once your baby is born, please contact me within 3 days so that we can schedule your session.
-
The ideal window for newborn photos is 7-14 days. This is so your baby is still flexible enough to get into all those snuggly, womb-like poses, all while being super sleepy!

Since I do in-home newborn photography, I will coordinate with you beforehand a time to come setup while you are feeding your baby. You just need to feed, burp, and change your baby so they are full and happy by the time I am ready to begin. Since your baby will be unclothed for much of the session, I recommend turning your heat up a few degrees or turning off the AC. I will need some floor space to set up my posing table and lighting equipment, so you can prepare by moving any furniture that may be in the way, like a coffee table. Typically, the living room is a great spot so parents can sit on the couch and watch! If you have pets, it may be a good idea to put them in another area of the house during the session to ensure your baby’s safety while on the posing table.

Typically a newborn session will last about 2 hours, but this will vary based on your baby! Your baby is in charge, so if they are unhappy, we will stop to address whatever the issue is whether they need to be fed, changed, or just held and rocked. This may affect how long it takes to get the desired photos.

Yes! My goal is always to keep your baby as safe as possible. All of my equipment, props, and fabric get sanitized between clients. I will wash my hands before handling your baby, and would be happy to wear a mask if requested. I will never put your baby in an unsafe position and will always be arms-length away from them, or ask a parent to step in to spot if I can't be.

The time it takes me to edit a gallery varies based on how many photos we get, how much touching up your baby’s skin needs, etc. You can expect your full gallery delivered to you within 1-2 weeks. I will always send at least one “sneak peak” photo within 24 hours of the session
